@TheDibleo You actually need 78, not 80. For pouches that require 71-80 summoning you can only exchange them for shards when your summoning is 4 levels above the level required to make the pouch itself.

would you happen to know if this is more efficient than using the 500g granite in terms of the amount spent?

if your only getting 70% shards back you will eventually need more shards though, and anyway arent you losing money doing it this way?
