Alright so I'm not at the skill level to take on fxm508's 2002 Rugal yet (if ever), and the only AI patch I can find for Gonzo's version is by everyone's favorite group: GASE (why must you do these things to characters we like D:).
So I've decided to do a slightly easier challenge up against Muteki's pride and joy: Faust. Faust is set at the AI that is default when downloaded (can't seem to find a way to change it to something smarter or more difficult) which is usually more than enough to take you down in a standard fight.
Apparently though he can't seem to comprehend slow moving projectiles and charge-up projectiles, which leads me to spamming the slow version of Kaiser Wave just to keep myself safe. Sorry if you were expecting a more epic showdown, but unfortunately Muteki's Guilty Gear physics and mechanics tend to overtake most other fighters in melee combat, which is nice for accuracy (keep in mind though, that this is nowhere near perfect compared to the source material) but bad (really bad) for balance.
This match also proves a concern that's been troubling me with Muteki's coding style lately, nearly all of his characters seem to be producing clones (including Faust as you'll see in this match), a basic coder's flaw that usually should be easily fixable. Seriously Muteki, test out your characters more often instead of just slapping in a patch every 2 months.
This will probably be my last video with Jin's Rugal for a while, after all it's boring just seeing the same character win over and over again, so let's switch things up.
A well handled match, since the GG system is much faster, it is necessary to compensate when facing an opponent with that many more options, nicely done.
