This is why I don't support the current approach to drug education: because it obviously isn't working! All it does is makes teens more curious about drugs, so it's no wonder drug use is on the rise.
It's like putting a box with a button in the middle of the room and telling kids, 'don't push that button. Sure, it will b e fun at first and you will have a good time, but then bad things will happen and somebody will die'. Then the kids see their friends pushing that button and nobody dies. And after all, they were told it would be fun...so, they end up pushing that button, too.

The Midwest in the states and the suburbs since this whole "teach kids how to do drugs, but not really campaign" has caused prom queens chearleaders and lacrosse players to full on heroine addicts!! They think its funny to call each other "Heroine Holly" and "Cracked out Dave".

Stop hidding drug addicts, make drugs LEGAL. Most Columbians do not do any drugs, they know better since they learn from an early age. The dangers, they make the choice then. NOT from the red button.

True Story!
When I was in 9Th grade doing Health class aka drug ed, They handed out cans of Chewing tobacco for us to taste.
It was nasty, but I later keep it and gave it to my peers after class.

I always wondered if DARE or other drug ed programs brought up the question on why would people use drugs?
