  • @FleaBOXING parrying is defense no doubt lol ...its actually really good d but it wasn't until the 50 & 60s were fighters started to really get defensive minded

  • @snkammar Yes, because parrying isn't defence is it?

  • @zamptor ye it was, most boxer's in that era were not defensively minded. A lot of them used their hand's to perry shots and not bobbin & weaving.Gene Tunney & Steele were the few boxers that used good foot work for defense. It wasn't until the 50's & 60's where we started to see boxers with their hands up. 50's was one of the best decades for boxing in terms of skill level.

  • I don't know if boxing was technically very different back then, but it sure looks like it. They hold their hands so low! Was that a common practice back in the day?
