My camera is the Panasonic HDC-HS80. I need help picking a PC for FSX that i will get good performance like 50+FPS.
Here are my current specs:
Gateway FX6000
Intel Q9400 quad core @ 2.66GHz
DDR3 6GB ram
ATI Radeon 4830 with aftermarket heat sinc and thermal paste
Seagate 3.5" 7,200 RPM 700GB HDD
Seagate 1TB 3.5" 7,200RPM External HDD
Samsung 500GB 7,200 2.5" HDD
OCZ 32GB SSD

New PC specs im looking at:
Cooler Master HAF-X

Laser engraved: Gamer Infinity 8800 pro MS FSX/FS9

Internal expansion... USB 6-port NZXT

Neon light upgrade 12in meter light 8 speed (dont know what the hell that means.)

Extra case fans... 120MM case cooling fans for selected case

Noise reduction Dont give a rat's A** about that...

CPU: Intel Core I7 2600K 3.40GHz 8M smart cache LGA1155 (All OC certified...)

No overclocking-can do that myself

Cooling fan: asetek 510LC water cooling system 120MM radiator & fan (enhanced cooling performance+ extreme silence at 20dBA Single standard 120MM fan

Motherboard Crossfire X Asus P8Z68-V LX Intel Z68 chipset DDR3 (the whole deal...)

Intel smart responce tech...Z68... None

16GB (4GBx4) DDR3/1333MHz dual channel mem Corsai major brand

Video cards 1&2: ATI Radeon 6950 2GB GDDR5 16X PCIe gfx cards

(not doing nividia because i had problems and bad experences with their brand)-(i think ATI is better anyways because thats what brand im using for a current Gfx card but its the Radeon 4830 1GB series)

Power suppy:850 Watts Cooler master silent pro gaming 80 plus power supply

main OS HDD/SDD: 32GB Kingston SSD

Data HDD: 2TB SATA 3.5" SATA 7,200 RPM

(i think the 10,000 RPM wear out faster and build more heat)

HDD cooling fan: vigor ISURF 2 HDD cooling system (cant have my HDD or SSD getting hot while flying in the Flight Sim)

Optical drive: Blue-ray DVD CD... the whole deal...

High def on board 7.1 sound... Already have a 5.1 PCI card in my current computer and the Logitech 5.1 surround sound system with a 5.1" 70 Watt sub

No 3D glasses, monitor...

Standard LAN network card

Keyboard and mouse: Xtreme gear multimedia keyboard USB... Optical USB 3 butten gaming mouse (might just stick with my current Logitech standard wireless one...)

Mouse pad: who gives a shiz...

No wireless (im hooked in right now 15 feet from our router so no wireless needed)- can alwasy get it though if needed...

Flashmedia... Standard media stuff that all media computers have...

Power protection: Otti-UPS TS2250B 2000VA/1200W (have a APC that supplys 250 watts battery... cant handle this new computer... My Gatway FX6000 is 450 watts so my APC is beeping every now and then...)

  • First of all, you are GORGEOUS!!

Second, the people over at Cheapassgamer . Com will help you more than you know! If you don't know about that site, check it out. Don't mind the name and it's a free site. Go to forums then pc discussions . They will tell you where to shop for all of the best at the best prices.

This is not some spam mail! Good luck!

  • @BarbieBillionaire Ok. Thats a bit werid but ok. Never got that comment at all. ANyways, il check that site out. Im still 5 months away from getting the computer. IM a serious gamer too. Only with Flight sim though. I got a PS3 but i barely even play it.

  • 20fps in FSX? GET USED TO IT

  • @bigez954 i am in FS9... I want 28 or more now. Besides im uploading a new video with updated stuff in it.

  • The thing with FSX is it is not really desinged to run on multiple cores. The 'multi-core capability' added to FSX by Service Pack 2 is nice, but it's just an afterthought. Also, FSX seems more dependent on CPU than on GPU. Therefore, the most definitive factor that makes FSX tick is clock speed. Having New York City scenery run at 50fps solid at something like 1920x1080 sounds like maybe 5GHZ to me. That's my two cents, hope it helps.

  • @lowonewing I have FSX golden edition and Acceleration. Im uploading a new video shortly here so watch that please. Its an update on this. By the way, im looking at getting 28FPS or more at places i mentioned.

  • Same here buddy,i have ps3 but just played gta n smkdwn once, got 1.7, i core 7 laptop with one gb readon graphic memory, still no luck with fsx fps,now thinking of hardcore gaming pc,sound like porn to me have to get f...ked for fsx again for high end cpu

  • Well, you'll only get those frames per second maxed out, if you build a server computer with 2 or more processors and professional videos cards cross fired and that will not be cheap.

  • If you build your own computer (which is really easy!) you could get the perfect Flight Simulator computer for $1500! Honestly get an i5 2500k overclock to 4.5ghz and nvidia gtx 570, I get 30-45 fps in FSX with max settings! Just saying.

  • First of all having a computer for more then 5 years is so outdated it's useless. I strongly urge you to understand that technology moves much faster then you'd like and your "new" system will be outdated within 3-4 years. Now I'm assuming you're wanting to run 3 monitors+ with FSX and you're wanting at least 1TB along with an SSD for these games aswell. Are you wanting Watercooling or do you wanna stick with air?

PM and I'll tell you what you're wanting to look for.

  • Did you ever hear about alienware com

I'm not saying they will last for 15 (!!! that's a lot) years, but they will have sick power for 3k $ and you can buy all the hardware from just 1 place and know it will work properly and look very nice

  • wow......just wow. Your a cool kid, do some research
