I have been a DIE HARD NYI fan since I was a kid in the 70s...Not all NYI fans are like this — and it is NOT exclusive to Long Island. I've been to games in a variety of different places from NY to Boston, to Philly to see a game. There are always clowns like this at every game who are too drunk and too stupid to lump in with the rest of the us who genuinely root for their team and are respectful. Lets not generalize and lets not mistake passionate fans for fools like those depicted here.

i love the islanders. been fan all my life. no matter how much they suck im with em. but not all isles fans are like this. its just a fewww. so if u wanna say we have no class, go to a isles game with a rangers jersey on and get welcomed the LI way to a hockey game

Go Islanders! But, really all pro sports are getting bad fans. You can't even take a kid to the game unless you buy the expensive tickets assholes like these guys can't afford. Sad. Hate to say it, but too many people get "courage" when they have beer, as exemplified by these guys.

@pacmanghostx You assume that, but it never really was "rebuilding" until a few years ago. I'd say 2004 was the year we pretty much started going down hill and drafting young, the year after we made the playoffs. As of right now, we COULD be a playoff contender, but it matters on what we pick up in the rest of this free agency...we've already added some decent players...
