Vauxhall covered a new Astra is £2000 worth of coins to promote the UK scrappage scheme, and £2000 of a new Astra. Members of the public were invited to take money off the car ending the theory that there is no such thing as free money. There was on the 21st August in London's Liverpool Street.
This film shows you just how we covered a car in coins.
All advertising/PR = desperation, duh. Show me any commercial company that does not want to take your money if they can get it, and I'll show you next year's Woolworths.

where's the video of the bun fight to get the money? not sure I agree with this PR stunt. Desperate is a worth that comes to mind. Guess that appeals to Vauxhall drivers!
