Renowned Senegalese musician Baaba Maal recalls his childhood growing up in Podor, and the changes in the environment that have taken place since, affecting friends and family. "These people, the rhythm of their lives are organised around the seasons", he says. "They must be lost [now]".
The problem is that global warming isn't being caused by Africa, or most countries actually, and the countries that are causing it are not likely to hear about it, or take steps to change their ways.
