@moonunitenar lol It's alright, I'm not not from Sheffield - THANK GOD lol ;p No, I completely know what you mean about it being a very raw accent, you're completely right. It's a great accent for that type of music though.. I wish more singers would include their accents in their music. An example of somebody else who does it is Kath Nash, with her London accent coming out very strongly in her music.

@TheAqui1a You're probably right in that undereducated was a bad choice of word. I didn't mean that people from that area are undereducated in any way, I just mean that it is a very raw accent. it's easier to picture a 60's punk in leather speaking like that, rather than with a Cambridge accent, for example.

@moonunitenar Undereducated? Whether someone from Sheffield is educated or not, they still have the same accent. Alex might sound a bit more 'adolescent' than most other people, but I wouldn't say he sounds undereducated! Especially with some of those really clever and creative lyrics.

arctic monkeys just don't sound good at all with out the trashy british accent. No offense to the singers, cuz they were great, but you need to try to sound more like an undereducated british teenager XD
