Switch it Off (Shilpa Munikempanna) - UKEFF 2009

Shilpa came across the call for submissions on the british council website, and decided to write a simple concept and shoot it on her handycam. The film has a simple message of switching off your lights, which greatly contributes greatly to the conservation of energy. Shilpa recently graduated from the London Film Academy where she studied film making. She is currently in the process of creating a film collective wherein film makers are provided a platform to network and create work which doesn't necessarily have to be market driven. If and when possible she hopes to use her skill as a film maker to raise awareness about climate change by creating public service announcements and short films aimed solely at the individual.
