@TThirdplaneTT These guys are in my company. You are too ignorant to know that Marines aren't US soldiers. Furthermore, thinking that all servicemen are dumb is a fallacy. What is true of some parts is not true of the whole. I happen to have graduated cum laude...now law school. I have learned more from my brothers-in-arms than all of my Ivy-league profs combined.

Take your time. I joined the MArines when I was 18. Some people love it for what it is, others hate it, some are in the middle. It's very important you don't join because it looks like fun. The military is not like the commercials they show on tv. It's complicated talk to former soldiers not recruiters who have something to gain by lying to you.

Joining Any branch of The Military is a very honorable thing to do. Remember though that for most Soldiers/Marines will be sent to war. My brother just got back from Afghanistan and he served in the Army. He came home fine for the most part. He did contract Malaria from the mosquitoes. He could have died from that. Make sure you believe in what we are fighting for. Not all wars that our fought are worthy of fighting. You may be sent to fight for something you do not believe in.
