On September 12, 2006, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet spoke publicly in Woodstock, N.Y., drawing thousands of followers and admirers in a celebration of the International Day of Peace.

Because of security concerns, the visit by the 71-year-old winner of the Nobel Peace Prize was supposed to be a secret. More than two thousand people learned of his itinerary anyway, showing up at Andy Lee Field off Rock City Road hours before his 3:30 p.m. appearance

  • I wish I could watch the site you suggested on a really nice computer. Maybe I'll ask the Chinese government to give me a computer too. This Youtube posting has been the target of a coordinated campaign, both ridiculous and pathetic, to undermine HHDL No leaders, not even your bosses in Beijing, are perfect or were born into perfect families. Just tell me: are you using the same PR firm as the American right? Trying to destroy your enemies with delegitimization? You lie! You lie! C'mon now.

  • It is clear to all of the World except China,

that the Chinese propaganda about "liberating"

Tibet only was the official excuse to enforce

their occupation of Tibet to steal it from the

    Tibetans.

  • How about we just shut up and listen?

  • Heinrich Harrer in Seven Years in Tibet too states categorically that the monks in the Potala are homosexual whilst also mentioning the terror of dob-dobs, the monk-thugs, in Lhasa .

Recently a journalist investigating the phenomenon of Tibetan Buddhism, stumbled across some alarming evidence concerning paedophilia in a Tibetan monastery. Not so long ago, a young boy aged 7 had been inducted into a monastery directly under the Dalai Lama in the hills of West Bengal

  • im actually starting to agree with dali lama statement about money being the route to unhapiness and problems in the world. Lately i have noticed how shops are very untrustworthy of everybody who goes in them and they suspect everybody is going to steal from their shop even though they are and the only reason they care and act like this is due to money. also note how untrustworthy money makes the world in general. shops dont even trust people to give the correct change without counting it

  • DalaiLama: From the first day of our life until our last breath, the very foundation of our existence is affection and human warmth.

DalaiLama: Developing love and compassion and reducing anger and spite is a universal activity which requires no faith in any religion whatsoever.

  • @Melchersson well said

  • @jimmyjoeh2o But Buddhism lives on!

  • @stevetobias I´m totally into Buddhism but very doubtful about Dalai lamas statement like about them who died in the big tsunami in Thailand being all "sinners" with "very bad karma " ?

  • I have much respect for the Dalai Lama, however people need to understand the reality of the situation in "Tibet". There is no Tibet anymore it has been ingested into the belly of the dragon, the dragon being China, like it or not there is no more Tibet. China has invaded, destroyed, and rebuilt the region formerly known as Tibet and the world did nothing of substance to stop it. Protesting is as effective as farting in the wind, so the colonizers wins again, RIP TIBET!
