Sorry to disappoint you, 'john', but this was filmed and originally telecast in black and white. Sidney Sheldon WANTED to film the first season in color, but Screen Gems (his studio) said no, telling him, "Save your money" [he later claimed they didn't think the series would last more than one season to justify the cost of color filming]. At the end of January 1966, Sheldon was finally able to film his first color episode- "The Fastest Gun in the East"- as a test, which was seen in season two.
First telecast on January 15, 1966, and Bill Daily's graduation to "co-star" status. From here on, Roger played a key role in virtually every episode, beginning with the fact that he now knows what Jeannie IS...and mistakently tries to take advantage of his "dumb luck" in finding out.
@johnxgin3 It was really filmed in black and white, last as teh years past they changed it to color.
