  • It worked for a while, but then I started getting the same video distortion issues I had before I baked it. Here is a link to what I did.

  • @xrothgarx Apparently, I can't post links. Just head to my blog 1n73r.net and search for video card. You should be able to find it.

  • youre a noob.

  • dude - redo this please w/ some kind of volume.

  • Alright, so I have cable it think, like 60 channels, IF, I made a pvr with a blue ray player and capture card etc, LinuxMCE or MythTv, would it work okay? Thanks!

  • @xrothgarx

did you say you baked your video card and it didnt work cause it blew out?

  • @carlosguerrera

Think this Setup is going to work. Your Encoding to different codecs is done with the processor, but decoding of HDsignals is done in your graphics card (e.g. watching TV).

  • Great series of videos! Thank you very much for posting them. I'm new to this and yours were the first videos I saw. I'm thinking about building one using a Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 1.86 Dual Core Processor box with 1gig of ram , HDHomeRun, a 1TB for the videos and a N9500GT-MD1G/D2. What do you think of these specs?

Also one thing I don't understand is where/when the encoding/decoding takes place.

    Regards

  • Thanks much!

From past experience I know what NOT to have as hardware for MythTV. That would include a mobo with onboard Radeon X1250 GPU and Leadtek DTV2000H DVB-T card...
