  • I am trying to get myself into this but still trying to understand. I dont get it when you say you out 250ft but all your showing is more black screen either side like 150ft and the actual scanning appers to be only say 100ft. Can you use this in open water say for trolling or bottom bashing in 200ft of water or is the down scan only good for this depth?

    Cheers Chris

  • @fatcat780 When you see all black, you are looking at open water. You dont necessarily see STRUCTURE all the way to the edge, (unless it is rising). Generally, when you see structure out 100 ft or so, you can still see open water out much further. Alot depends on how much you zoom in. Its VERY simple to understand once you use it a bit. You can see fish easily out in the black (open water) even though theres no structure.

  • The structure scan is a module and a transducer, what exactly are the requirements needed of the fish finder that it hooks up too.I noticed that on this video your viewing it on a SIMRAD so we dont actually need to have a Lowrance HDS ? I know its an ethernet connected module just curious what all it could be hooked up to and the various ways like your dual setup. I am on a tight budget and if I can save money to get this that be cool. Awesome vid next time show me some of your catch LOL.

  • @tallwill38 Structure Scan is compatible with all of the newer Lowrance HD and Simrad NSE,NSS, and NSO Units.

  • @tallwill38 you can hook it up to a Simrad NSS,NSE, NSO or a Lowrance HDS, thats pretty much it, one module and transducer can supply data to several displays

  • Incredible!

  • Great job on the structure scan...
