@phobosapiens lol I think I filmed the stripboard arcing video like 3 years ago when I first started out experimenting with high voltage. I am uploading the video now but it will take another 40 minutes thanks to my pathetically slow internet connection (it has been uploading for the past 3 hours and is only 145mb is size!).

But the question is, will it blend?

@teC5 my first "will it blend" comment,. awesome,. thanks :P

Good start, but if you want real power then build yourself a ZVS driver. That will give you huge hot arcs!

@Alex1M6 thanks. yeah I saw the ZVS driver, might try it in the future. But what I liked about this one is that it's battery powered. And actually I'm not very interested in hot powerfull arcs..I like long arcs better so I'm thinking
of maybe trying a Marx generator. But thanks for the tip anyway.

@phobosapiens Fair enough ( :
I made a small homemade flyback-style transformer that uses AA battery's to power it the other day. Depending on how far apart I place the spark gap on the primary circuit I can either have pulsed sparks around 1 inch in length or faster (about 10-30hz) smaller sparks.
I will upload it tomorrow sometime if you are interested in seeing it.

@Alex1M6 sure I'm interested,.I just watched all your other videos (incl the rabbit and cat videos).
I liked the arcing across the stripboard so just tried it with a piece of pad-per-hole perf, looks great!
(video coming up). I can get ±2 inch sparks max. with this HV generator but then it starts to misfire and arc between pins of the flyback transformer.
