2011 Chattanooga Jazz Festival - Bob Schultz Frisco Jazz Band playing My Buddy

Scott Anthony sings My Buddy at one of the many events at the 2011 Chattanooga Traditional Jazz Festival with Bob Schulz' Frisco Jazz Band at the Chattanooga Choo Choo hotel. The song was written in 1922, but Scott's sister had brought her canine best friend Buddy with her to Tennessee. Buddy sure appreciated the attention. Astrid and Mike Griffin have organized this festival and next year will be the 22nd Festival (May 4, 5, & 6, 2012 - www.chattanoogajazzfestival.com) with the Bob Schultz, the Buck Creek, the Grand Dominion, and the High Sierra jazz bands. The Frisco Jazz Band here featured Bob Schulz as leader/cornet; Ray Skjelbred, piano; Doug Finke, trombone, Kim Cusack, clarinet; Hal Smith, drums; Mike Walbridge, tuba; and Scott Anthony, banjo.
