@ColorfulLetters Because if he just touch it then everytime someone will touch -accidentally- the screen will turn on ex. when many people want to see photos and someone touch it. It would be annoying for me. I think it's quite clever from it.

At 0:01 it says TS550.. It is the ST550 and the ST550 does not have 10x Zoom or 8 Mpix.
It's 4,6 optical zoom and 12,2 Mpix. It also says so on the camera itself. Easy to see at 0:01.
