This video shows "ASTEROID 2011 MD" encounter from space. Importantly it shows from Asteroid point of view. Which will pass only 12,000 km above Earth's surface on 27th June, 2011 at 15.01 GMT(10.31 p.m IST). Asteroid is traveling at speed of 6.69 km/sec. Size of asteroid is expected to be 6.3 meters to 14 meters. It was discovered on 22nd June 2011 by the LINEAR near-Earth object discovery team. It is expected to be sailing high off the coast of Antarctica the sky during the encounter. This asteroid orbits Sun every 396 days. After 27th June, 2011 changes in its orbit can be expected.
