Victory in Jesus by Joan-boogie woogie, N.O.jazz..

By Request for Michael, Joan Atwell is singing & playing this great ole timey gospel hymn at the piano..This is her, BIG OLE JOAN, wrapped up in one butterball... A mix of New Orleans jazz, boogie woogie, stride and black spirtual gospel.

Speaking of black spirtual gospel, one of her alltime favorites is Sister Rosetta.. Joan loves to feel the emotion in music and that is what she had..She sang, play that rocking electic guitar and danced at the same time. If you haven't seen Sister Rosetta, please check her out..

I guess that is why she loves the rocking piano in a song like Victory in Jesus, sorta a theme song down here in the south where she is from..

Now folks, load this video...Clap your hands, stomp your feet, throw off your shoes, dance around the room, sway back and forth and or just praise the Lord. Joan doesn't care, in fact this IS the kind of music she loves the BEST!

Mike, Yes, have you listened to our live performance of I'll Fly Away at Lincoln Hall, Ruston, La.? Groups of fine gospel who can belt it out much better than me. Wish I had a crew to help me film, write, do all I want to do with Atwell Land Production Co. Can't hire one yet tho. Stay fairly busy bookings and working many hours here at farm and computer work.. You play that accordion so beautifully.
