MMF was an amazingly tight band with Prairie Prince on drums and Bobby Vega's tight funk stylings, allowing both Kimock and Vince to improvise freely on their solid foundation.

MMF played four pre-Fillmore shows at Studio E. They would rehearse new material for weeks and then open the doors for a show, Take a day off and go play the Fillmore. This song, Samba in the Rain, a Vince Welnick composition, was from the first of those shows. July 4th, 1996. The other three show dates were 10/14/96, 2/9/97, 4/22/97.
