  • Hi Chadr1636. Thank you for uploading this video. I just wanted to know where did u buy this device from and for how much? I have a xbox 360 which i want to play on my old t.v which only has a coax on it.

  • I purchased it from radioshack and it is 59.99.

  • hey, i have an old tv, maybe 6 years old, and have only one coax input, and i want to buy a home theatre system but i think those use hdmi cables, could a rf modulator be the answer or is there another device?

  • yes, this would be what u need. You would want to use the composite (RCA) connection though because it would be useless to convert HDMI if u could because it will not be high definition.

  • I need something like the hotels use. I need to put about 5 or 10 video streams into a box and output it to RF channels, any ideas?

  • @johneymute You could use what's referred to as a TV demodulator, this is a device that does exactly what you mentioned. They're tunable, (some are even cable-ready), but there are some that are fixed to one channel, avoid those (unless they're set to ch. 3 or 4 :) ). These were in use by tv stations in their control rooms for monitoring, and by cable tv systems. With the recent switch of TV stations to digital, there are a few of these demods up on eBay. Just search for "tv demodulator".

  • now if companny's will also make a modulator the other way around,rf antenna to composite video + stereo audio, that would be perfect to allowed me to hookpup rf based gameconsoles to anny a/v device like a porteble dvdplayer, cuzz no one feels like to dig out their old huge vcr to do that.

  • The purpose of that device, when you plug it into the 120v wall outlet, it's supposed to amplify the TV signal. Not necessary for video game consoles and they should be like the original Radio Shack Modulator specific to your old school video game console, ie Playstation 1 or N64. Radio Shack only sells the 120v model for $27.98. Ebay for $9. Ebay Radio Shack non-120v, $7.50. 120v model seems like a rip off, I strongly say it is. Got everybody by the balls electronically

  • oh wow thats expensive! Might as well get a used t.v with the a/v on it. Thanx alot!
