32 people (honoring the Virginia Tech victims) lie down for several minutes (symbolizing the amount of time it took the shooter to buy his gun) to protest how easy it is for dangerous individuals to purchase a gun in the United States. There have now been more than 100 lie-ins in 31 states and D.C., with thousands of Americans protesting lax U.S. gun laws, including at the U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court, four in Times Square, and the NRA national convention.
