Finally broke the 80mph barrier... twice. Once geared 40/68 and the second time geared 40/76. I stripped the 68T spur soon after the 82mph run. I feel that more speed is possible with that set-up.

Update: check out the latest video of it running 90mph!!!

  • This is fast!!!

    The air doesn't flip it?

    Nice vid

  • @TheAL3xGR Thanks. I put front and rear wings on to help the car stay on the ground.

  • im with gagetrumbly, i have it stopped right at 11 seconds, looks just like a buggy, or an F1 car

the tires are way too thin and small

im not doubting you its a rustler... but its not a stock one, most everything is modded on it

  • @2007tacoma You both got it right. It's been a well known fact that this Rustler was highly modified. everything was optimized for speed and down force. The body was a Bandit body from JConcepts and the front wheels were also Bandits Anacondas.

  • its not a rustler pause it at 21 seconds and look

  • It's a Rustler with a Bandit body and a front wing attached.

  • can you tell me what gears you use?

  • 103mph!! rc car with a 2200kv mamba monster motor that rev's to 60,000rpm Look at the vid!!!

  • are you using 32 p gears?

  • I have interested in keeping my motor temp under 150F for the entire battery but go as fast as 45mph. With 3s and 25/76, the motor reaches 170F in like 7-8 minutes.

Yesterday, i tried 4s (using my friends 4S compatibility esc) on VXL motor. My gearing was 25/76. The motor got to 170F in like 3 min. If i use 18/86 gearing, will I be able to achieve my objective? Will the high RPM in this setup produce a lot of heat, although there will be less amps due to high volts? Thanks

  • hey I have a mm with a blown bearing in the 5700. I heard I can get more torque from the traxxas 3500kv. Can you give me some pointers?

  • Maybe he's using the mamba max pro, which take 6s and made a typo
