Wow! I was guiding a paralyzed vet, Virgil Qualls,who's hunted with us in the past, and I didn't find him his Axis doe, but I did get this awesome hard core video of whitetail bucks going at it pretty good. Last time Virg hunted with us in 2005, he had the pleasure of watching his buck fight from this same blind before he harvested him. Our Texas deer wanna give him a good show while he's here visiting. Forget Las Vegas! That's where Virgil is from ya' know. Today was December 6, 2007 and this was filmed at the Cedar Canyon Ranch by Wendy, of Butch and Wendys Hunting Adventures. com

@silentfades I personally wouldn't. One, it's just an excellent experience that you wont see everyday. Two, you might not get a good clean shot in.

I am not a hunter and definately not against it as long as they are used for food.
My question is one of hunting ethics - would it have been wrong for a hunter to shoot/kill the bucks while they were fighting ?

@silentfades That is an excellent question! IMO, as for them fighting being reason not to shoot, no. BUT the reason I wouldn't shoot is there is just too much movement happening to be darn sure of a clean placed shot, and only to shoot the targeted deer and not wound or kill the other ol boy.
