In July of 2009 the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society celebrated the 20 Year Anniversary of the restoration and recovery of its Lockheed Neptune 566.

j'adore aussi cet avion. Mon mari et mon frère ont bossé dessus à Lann Bihoué. Et  mon mari a bossé dessus à Tahiti.

Ceux qui l'ont restauré ont vraiment faits du bon boulot.

J'ai bossé et volé sur cet avion à Tahiti à la 12 s de l'aéronavale ,c'est le dernier neptune français à voler sous les couleurs de la france , dernier vol en 1984 " J'y étais ! Merci à vous les autraliens de l'avoir sauvé de l'oubli ........Emouvant

Beautiful plane, in may 1982, a long range patrol a sp2 from Argentinian Navy detected the British frigate Sheffiend and sent the Super Etendards to his prey... so I think this was the las combat mission of the sp2 Neptunes worldwide, regards.

I just took delivery of a pair of props for one of these planes. 14' diameter! Great shape. Nice to see the real thing.
