  • That was some footage, well done for a very good film.

  • @Holyheadian thank you

  • I was fishing on the brakewater one night about 20 years ago when a hell of a storm came from nowhere.I had to give up fishing but just couldn't leave,I could hear the huge boulders(some the size of a car)slamming against the wall behind me and then the wave came over-awesome.The Talbot Horizon I was in rotted around me in 6mths!!!

  • it was a very stormy day the waves were

    awesome

  • wow!! the tide must have been high for that to happen, ive seen the huge drop on the other side on a good day with low tides! thats good footage though!

  • Where is this 'Holyhead'? I love watching waves crashing against rocks etc, could sit there all day watching it. Strange how something so rough, can have a calming effect.... Excellent.

  • ive fished there and been caught in that just past the green light you just tuck van into the wall and sit tight lol some great fishing from there, and it cleans the place up wen the waves go over i have felt it shake before now lol

  • Fantastic footage, thanks for uploading. I hadn't realised that the ferries operated when the conditions were this bad, although I remember being on the old St Columba in a force 9 gale back in 1987 - not a nice experience! Incidentally, we took the car over to Ireland 2 weeks ago on the Stena Adventurer, the sea was like a mill pond thankfuuly.

  • The longest breakwater in Britiain I think and I can see why but the ferry does look quite stable here. Fantastic dramatic film though.

  • @TheXtremeEnthusiast you bet! Further out she would be in for a pounding, it may look stable but there would be alot of rolling and pitching in them seas

  • i dont think ill be fishing there for while...

  • @chris48310 .....errrrrrr....Guinness !!!
