No matter who you are or who you root for this has to be an vent in sports that you consider one of the geats. This type of humbility does not exsist today with players feeling entitled to millions of dollars, they forget what they really love is baseball.

I'm a Cubs fan and I don't like the Yankees at all but Lou Gehrig is the great 1B of all-time and was a class act. It's hard not to love him.

WHAT A GREAT HUMAN BEING ON MY BASEBALL TEAM HE WOULD BE MY number1 PLAYER i will keep it clean for the kids today players can't hold a candle to him my step father saw him play i have a signed program i'm told its worth thousands no thanks maybe my grand kids will need the money someday years ago when i took it to a card show they wanted to look at it over night i said you must really think i'm stupid i would not let it out if my sight thanks its great its sad however its good to hear

what a terrible disease I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy(hate to use a cliche) but how horrible it has to be. I really hope there is a cure for it some day,but somehow I think alot of diseases like this are brought on by chemicals we ingest through the food we eat. Could be wrong,but that's what I believe. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
