The National Fragile X Foundation, a research and awareness organization for Fragile X syndrome, hosts a conference every two years. The 2008 National Conference was this July in St. Louis and during it the next Conference location, Detroit was introduced with this video.

Great video...makes it so real and now I REALLY want to go to Detroit! I love the song 'Coming Out'...life with family that has Fragile X is so under the radar for our culture...very exciting!!!

I cannot wait to host my Fragile X family in the Detroit area!! Although we'll be in the 'burbs (Dearborn), I sure hope you'll take advantage of our awesome city too! We love to explore Detroit with Andrew (& his wagon) and hang out a lot at the Detroit Riverwalk, Belle Isle and Eastern Market. Hope to see you all here in 2010! Love, Mary Beth
