Early 80s UK "anarcho-goth" (?) No - it's just peace punk.

  • Living here at the gates of hell My body is a bombed out shell Devoid of feeling, devoid of life The only flame is a flicker in my eyes Living here at the depths of pain the sun is blacked out by the rain that keeps on falling, as the blood keeps flowing Lights at the end of the tunnel (Chorus) At the gates of hell Where the corpses yell And the only sound Is the toll of your death bells
  • Living here where the sun hits the street

Peace (Black) flags flying in the breeze

of illusion, a mirage in the desert

Lights at the end of the tunnel

    Repeat Chorus

  • There's a lot of bands on the crass label that I don't think are anarcho-punk (lack of knowledge, the mob, the zounds, etc...) me and my friends argue about this all the time

  • @monster4585

    lol why?

  • Can we just please enjoi the song?

  • wellI guess you'd need to establish the beginings of goth and death rock too.

I'm not even sure what or who you mean by death rock, I certainly wouldn't put the mob in either catagory but can see slight elements of both in there.

If by death rock you mean songs about satan, the occult and the dark side of our tortured souls then I guess you could say black sabath were there years before anyone else. I would have put the banshees and the cure as being the roots of the punk/post punk goth bands.

  • Really? Because if I recall Deathrock started soon right after the punk scene became a big angsty exploited mess.

  • I just saw these a couple of weeks ago and they were incredible!'still powerful after all these years.Easily one of the best bands i've ever seen.

  • They kinda remind me of rudimentary peni

  • @homebrew95 I agree :)

  • Anarchy & Peace is what I want.

  • saw them last night, best"re-forming" gig ive ever been to.
