For a complete lesson on systems of equations with fractions, go to http://www.yourteacher.com - 1000+ online math lessons featuring a personal math teacher inside every lesson! In this lesson, students learn to solve systems of linear equations that involve fractions. Students also learn to solve linear systems of equations by the method of their choice using the following rules: if one of the variables cancels out when the equations are added together, then use addition, and if a variable is already isolated in one of the equations, then use substitution.

  • This guy looks real happy

  • Im about to just kill myself if i dont understand this in the next hour

  • @TheRealEzzy seperate it. instead of substituting a fraction, multiply the fractions by their LCD so that you have whole numbers before you substitute it for Y or X.

  • @jump12man 2/3 X 3 is the same as 2/3 X 3/1 which would be 6/3

    6/3 = 2.

  • 1/2x - 4/5y = -2

    y = 1/4x - 3/8

    GO!
