"Lila" by Vas World Music Video #1

This is the first of a series of "World Music Videos" I'll be doing, the goal being to increase awareness of little known (and awesome!) world music artists.

This is the video for "Lila" by Vas, on their album "In The Garden of Souls". If you like what you hear, please support Vas by purchasing this cd or one of their other fine CDs! And if Vas sounds good to you, also check out Azam Ali's solo work, or the new band she's in Niyaz. Fantastic stuff.

The video was created by me in After Effects and Final Cut using Hubble Telescope images. They were put together in AE, rendered, and then the kaleidoscope effects were placed on them in FC. I used more than 24 mirrors to create these effects, and the result is quite mesmerizing. I think it goes pretty nicely with the music, no?

This mirror effect was based on something I used in an older project, and some day I will create a meditation video out of this project.
