A I recall most native Petoskey people were never really all that interested in Hemingway , the high school football team, dear hunting ,gossiping, alcohol & dope, and sex being FAR FAR FAR more important to those creatures .
Also never forget as a resorter Hemingway was more affluent ,smarter , & more worldly then the natives.To most of those creatures he was like a visitor from another planet .As a rule they didn't know much about the world south of Walloon Lake .
