Scott Travis of Judas Priest

This is Scott playing in Va Beach, Va with the band "Butter". He is going out on the road with Judas Priest this summer to tour behind their new album which is due out this spring. He joined Judas Priest in 1989. I first met Scott when we worked together at Mars Music. He worked the drum department (duh) and I worked in the Pro Audio department.

The coolest thing is that the video leaves absolutely no hint as to what that guy is capable of playing. If anything, it pays homage to his musical approach and restraint. This is a truly delicious vid, bro.

Thanks. Yeah that's what impressed me about Scott. He only brings what's necessary to get the gig done. I saw him in an even more scaled down band, and nobody would believe me when I told them he played with Judas Priest. Oh well LOL!! BSP

The great thing about Scott is he plays for the song and fits it. He can play anything and make it better. he is the human metronome. I like his Racer X stuff best. The best drummer in Rock period!
