No, I got him from a pet shop in Miami, FL. The capuchin from a breeder in Miami, FL. She is actually my mother-in-law's.

Aww. Okay. Well, does Joey & Sophie get along well with Dasha or are they a little timid towards her? Or is it the other way around? lol. And also, are Joey & Sophie ever aggresive to you in anyway or is it just a one second thing where you do something that upsets them and they just do a quick-nip or slap? haha =]

My monkeys really don't hold grudges at all. They have never attacked me out of nowhere. If I hold them to bathe them, they fidget & at first but once I let them go they are fine. Sofie will just run right back up to my shoulders. I don't give them reason to bite. Joey & Sofie are afraid of Dasha but they are never around each other really. If I kept them together more often they would probably get along. They do get curious and smell each other then mine run back to me.

@xeileen916x I'm also going into exotic animal medicine b/c I would like to see more and more species and exotic pet owners. It'd be a very lucrative business and would bring new insight to healthcare for all sorts of animals. It's not easy to find an exotic veterinarian where I live except way up in Little Rock and I think the main primate clinic is in Conway. But working with these furry cuties would be a thrill! :D

@xeileen916x That's what I try to tell all the animal rights fanatics out there that if we don't take some species of every animal into captivity, we won't be able to replace them when they go extinct. Now with breeding programs, we'll have healthy ones to keep up the species and for all to enjoy. I'm finishing vet tech school, but I support exotic pet ownership unlike the other students. As long as they're healthy & well-cared for, I see no problem in keeping them as pets.

@xeileen916x I've heard they can say things like "Fooood" and "oooooo" and sometimes "okaay" but mostly the ooo sound. I suppose they just coo to make that sound but they know when you've got something good to eat for them. I love the black-capped ones the best. With all their habitats being cut down & the rainforest being destroyed, people are having to take them in to preserve the species & care for them. Same w/macaws, but at least we'll still have them due to breeding them in captivity.
