The drum kit I'm using is a Yamaha DTXPRESS IV Special V2 with a couple of Smartrigger cymbal pads. I recorded the sound directly from the module AUDIO OUT into the computer. The sound you're hearing was generated by the module. The whole song was recorded in only one take (I'm talking about the sound). No MIDI nor post editing was used.

You have to use the second channel in the inputs used by mono pads. Those extra metal cymbals were purchased from Smartrigger, but you can find Yamaha's, Alesis' or Roland's on ebay. I captured the sound generated by the module directly through the aux out.

I like it a lot! I recommend you don't get a basic one, try to get at least an intermediate one, as this one I have, for example. There are some basic features which basic kits do not have which might bug you.
Keep in mind that maybe you'll think it's a bit strange to play on an e-kit when you're used only to an acoustic one, The small size of the pads and the stick rebound may be a bit tricky, but once you get used to it, it's gonna be nice! Recording is very easy, for example.

If you want some more views, ratings and comments, go to the original song by soilwork, and put this video as a "video response". That's what I did whit my guitar solo covers.
