there is a statement forthcoming from the Chan family official spokesman Jim Uglow to respond to the libellous writings of Biraghi on your forum. Edward Chan Ka Wang, Chan si-gungs son is extremely angry about the LIES written about his father on YOUR forum

Thank you for sharing; I am a big fan of Wong Fei Hung and would appreciate if the whole movie can be put up for sharing. Wondered if anyone has
黄飞鸿拳王争霸, 黄飞鸿虎爪会群英 to share.

@yizhichanlohan The only thing I can think of is maybe the film clip is old and the sound is a little off, or they did it purposely so if moviegoers try to imitate them, the imitators would put the wrong sounds with the moves. By the way, in your first post you mentioned that you yell "Yaaaaa" with tiger movements. The tiger movements we do we yell "Wok" and so do alot of other kung fu styles. I've not heard someone yell "Yaaaaa" with a tiger movement. Not saying it doesn't happen though.

@happydragon5077 no i know what that crane noise is for and in general i know about why the noises are used just like you said. and i agree noises enhance internal power and make you more mentally powerful as well on some level they make you externally more powerful i mean theres all kinds of reasons. but you misunderstand my question. why does he use a crane noises and thus crane force for tiger patterns im not saying its wrong i just have never considered this before.

@yizhichanlohan Apparently there are about a dozen distinct and unique sounds, that some styles use when executing certain moves in kung fu. The sounds are for pyschological effect and to generate more power similar to a grunt. Most importantly the sounds emitted with certain moves/body postures are supposed to stimulate internal organs.

Classic stuff !
That was awesome! That generation was the last of the great grandmasters. We have to keep their spirits alive!

This is a real treasure clip, they were young, and Kwan Tak Hing was supposed only 40, while ChanHonChung could be 30Plus.
