  • people see this and think it's nerdy or whatever, but every guy secretly wishes they had a sword so they could do this lol! besides it's not like they are LARPing. they are practicing the real thing based on historic evidence. looks really interesting and fun :)

  • @kingovviking This is a walkthrough demo at a museum festival. It's not all smashing and bashing and sexed-up violence.

On the other hand, this is legitimate European armed martial arts, so you can certainly learn something here.

  • hi talanvelc.

i love sword combat too, i am in an italian group that practice it. we start to study flos deuellatorum code and we end studying viking tecnics.

i think could you make a video about the use of runes as strikes positions. it would be pretty funny and interesting :D.

    regards

    Bjorn

  • Very well done! This is a good demonstration of the basics to fighting with a sword and viking shield. Especially the part at the end where the guy in brown takes the hand/ forearm shot.

  • @depoty Roll in with the fog, roll out with the women!

  • @Emanusmell

    It's not an arab, it's an Rus-Viking.

  • @Emanusmell obviously not an arab, not even the role he plays, because an arab would be fucked immediately.

  • sexy voice at 1:12

and also the shield is almost as tall as the arab on the right

  • @depoty I think BAMF maybe got confused. There are reports of Nord's defeating an armed opponent, with out a weapon, however, it would be one to one, and usually, the viking had discarded his weapon to throw his opponent-they where very into wrestling-and then finish him, or if it was an assasination attempt and he was unprepared. But you are perfectly right, not into full on battle unarmed.
