  • You Guys seem to have a heck of a lot of fun riding your trikes in neat places. I need to get out more... only been in my local area. When you do a ride like that do you stay a the motel and ride out and back or were you just there for the night and someone picks you up wherever you end up? How far was the ride all total?

  • Hey, Glenn! Yeah, and it looks like we're driving up for this year's TOT. Feel like driving to Idaho for a trike ride? The Monterey ride is beautiful. There's a nice motel in Marina that's right near the bike trail. We stay the night in the motel, and in the morning just roll out onto the trail. The ride on the trail, out and back, is about 25 miles. If you keep going after the trail ends, and go all the way to Pebble Beach, it turns into around a 45 mile out and back ride.

  • Great ride. Will we get to see more of Steinbeck country in the future?

That last putt looked a little suspect, as if someone had blown some air on the ball at the last minute to get it to break away from the hole. Hmm...

  • Hey, stranger :) That's what happens to a hole on a green when a lot of people step next to it to pick up their ball. The sides lift and create a "volcano" effect around the cup. It's just not fair and I demand a rematch!

I'll ask Lennie if he wants to go back to the ranches in the area and raise rabbits ;)

  • How chilly is chilly? I'm on the east coast and it was 28º for this mornings riding commute.

Looks like a very wonderful place to ride.

Great tour and great video and always. Thanks

Have you had any experience with Catrikes?

I've built a number of Catrikes at the shop where I work.

    They are well made machines.

I looking at getting a Catrike Expedition. 20" front wheels and a 26" rear.

How would you compare them to the ICE and Greenspeed trikes?

    Again Thanks

  • I don't think it was anywhere near as cold as you are back east :) Probably in the 40's when we started in the morning. Add the wind chill plus moisture in the air and it was probably high 30's at 15mph.

Catrikes are great! All three trike companies make excellent trikes but each have their own feel and take on construction materials, steering and aesthetics. You just have to test drive them and see which suits you best!

  • I'm riding my AnthroTech trike only in winter, but it seems you had a lot of fun. Great big flag, BTW. ;-)

Nice Video, great downhills, and next time we want to see the dolphins. ;-)
