LEGACIES 2008: Making History - Amara Ijo

On Saturday February 16, 2008, Collectively Eclectic held its inaugural event, Legacies 2008: Making History. Over 400 Calgarians, representing various backgrounds, ages and races, joined us at the University of Calgary's MacEwan Hall for a night of music, fashion, dance and black history.

From local reggae artists to beat boxers, Capoeira dancers to African drummers, visual artists and fashion designers, the event - was a huge success proving that Calgary is just one of the many cities across our country that has been enriched by the countless contributions of the Black community.
