Dude that battery is not a sealed unit, sealed units do not vent, they release toxic gases not only hydrogen, try to get a sealed unit, or mount the battery outdoors. Keep up the good work!
Nice job. You got a head start on me with the solar. I was an electronic nut at your age and just now getting into solar PV and also solar heat. Hope to have some video's posted in the near future. Got a prototype heater waiting for some sun to test. PS be careful with the batery being indoors. When your charging the batery is putting out hydrogen which is VERY explosive! Consider venting it.
nice stuff. beware with the cables: organize them and avoid generating any sort of sparkles near the battery cos it might go boom one day.
I am trying to gather some money for a little experimental solar panel and a battery.
