  • yes it is lots of fun...this year Im going to make a smaller sail, the one I used all last year was 16 ft by 10 accross the bottom....needless to say I sailed in some VERY rough alantic wind just in the harbor and she never capsized or even felt like she could, (I leaded the daggerboard and rudder both at about 37pds each)...I did break 2 masts over the course of the summer, this year I want to enjoy the boat with my 3 yr old son, but the Alantic wind can change up so fast, I figure 9x9 will do.

  • I'm quite intrested in making a modified version of these little boats with a cabin with sail with all controls inside the cabin. I have several designs I drew. I also like your idea of using weights for increased stability. I could actually trailor this thing with My recumbent trike! Great video!!!

  • I built PDR hulls #54 and #345. Great vid.

  • Thats awesome, I love me pd racer. There are no seals here on the coast of North Carolina but I have seen a couple dolphins that could sink my PD. Keep on sailing and seal watching and good luck.
