"Fault Line" from american and gorgeus "Black Rebel Motorcycle Club" Howl. The next one will be "Ain't no easy way", I also love that song and ever more now that I've seen it appears in a "My name is Earl" episode (something to live for, s1). btw if sone knows the lyrics meanig pls explain, i got no clue what this song is talking about... (some sailing may be ?)

them here:

I've been waitin' on the fault line
Let the needle take me on
I'll be standing with my dyin' bell
If you care to come along
Racin' with the risin' tide to my father's door
Racin' with the risin' tide to my father's door

I've been lyin' in the bright lights
See my shadow from below
Never wanted from another man
Never wanted from my own
Drownin' in the risin' tide in my father's door
Drownin' in the risin' tide in my father's door

Through a window to the last mile
Little picture on the wall
From the banks on the far side
See the lights come ashore
Racin' from the risin' tide to my father's door
Racin' from the risin' tide to my father's door
Racin' with the risin' tide to my father's door

  • Hey what key is your harmonica in?

  • it's tuned in G, it's not 100% clear if the song is in G or D, but with a G it sounds pretty decently (anyway song and harmonica tuning don't always have to match...). I saw you're also covering brmc, try buying an harmonica cause this song is really cool to play !

  • can you give the harmonica tabs for this song, we would apreciate it a lot :)

  • @trufetes Do you know where I can find a good tab to this song? If you can help me out I'd really appreciate it

  • it was godlike. and also i've just learned the song playing along with u, so thanks a lot :]

  • very nice mate

  • Could you please deliver the tabs for the harmonica in this song?

    Can't find it anywhere else.

  • the first stanza was really the only one that was wrong in a way that could change the meaning. here is the version from their website:

I've been waiting on the fault line

    Letting evil take me on

I'll be standing with my dying bed

If you care to come along

to me this song is about a guy who is living dangerously or has a lifestyle that he feels guilty about. i think he is trying to either seek redemption from his god or run from it. the sea is an analogy for his life.

  • i'm new to playing the harmonica and this is one of the songs i really want to learn. unfortunately, i can't find the harmonica part of this song tabbed anywhere, and i have no idea how to play by ear. do you think you could tab the notes you play, so i can practice?

also, i saw in the info box that you wanted some input on the meaning of the song. You have some of the lyrics wrong so i will repost a more correct version (hopefully) and this could help you figure out the meaning

  • Thanks, my covers weren't really that good, I kinda rushed it, and I've gotten better. So, I'm gonna do a cover of Fault Line when I get a harmonica this week, and I'll put it up, then tell you. And I'm a good harmonica player I just haven't put any videos of me playing it on Youtube, but I will do some this week, and you can see them.
