The 2009 mini trucks should be out in a few weeks but I have yet to see what it will look like because Hess hasn't updated their site yet

Now that's dedication! Also it undoubtedly is the best way to maintain its value - certainly when in mint condition it has a better chance to gain value as a Collector's item,(especially if you are selling). But I'm not worried about the value aspect,since I'm getting joy knowing that my son is enjoying them over the years.For me that's priceless. Does it help that I haven't yet unrolled the 40th Anniversary poster? :)

My uncle gave me a couple of hess toys when I was little. It was a truck with a helecopter and a large helecopter with a bike and jeep inside. being a little kid I didn't know any better and they aren't in very good condition and I don't have the boxes anymore. but now I want to get alot of hess toys for christmas. I want two of every kind that I get. 1 for collection. and one for me and a 3 year old named shelby that comes over to my house often and loves to play with my hess toys.

The one w the Chopper on the truck ws quite popular,apparently selling out, because it was so realistic . I know the feeling about the decreased value - this is my 10 yr anniv of buying for my son,who just turned 13.And '99 was a famous Space Shuttle - w many great sounds - but never meant to be a bath toy :) The real value is enjoyiment,since nobody actually sells them .Never too late to start collecting.Have fun.I'll be doing the '09 vid soon,even tho I've had it for a week already!
