I have a Toulouse- her mate died a coupla years ago (for reasons unknown- I wasn't gonna get an autopsy) -

but now she has...umm, imprinted on me. Each spring she is exceptionally affectionate, and when I sit outside having my morning coffee, she will start to build a nest at my feet with some twigs on lawn.

Lays some eggs in a "main"nest, and if I'm lucky, I grab 'em before the damn raccoon gets em after dark.

She's getting old now- only 10 or so eggs this spring (May/2011)

they have reunited

Maria currently resides in the LA zoo at the petting zoo (or Muriel's Ranch) Dominique visits her everyday and they are still really strong friends. :)
