Why can't you start uploading more of these?
-
ZUN and the Demoman would be pissed
-
Gonna put a video up soon showing me doing this. Been usind 750 volts though and sometimes 12000-15000.
-
First thing that springs to mind:
Rather interesting Method of melting.
Second thing: Is that a pizza box??
-
i have do this in 2001.
When you have constant temperatur in the room and constant temperatur the glas you can shape the glass.
PS: I use for this 1400V not 20kV like you
-
That was also extremely impressive to watch. I like how you managed to get the electricity to arc across the gap made by the break glass.

so cool)) What invertor do you use?
ChaosNuke666 2 years ago
It's a large AIMS modified sine inverter. I found that the high voltage experiments seem to go better with a dirty waveform than a pure sine, reason unknown.

Perhaps because of sine wave has short time when voltage is reaching amplitude + same time zero voltage + somthing in the middle xD Sry for bad english.
So is this halfbridge//bridge topology?

I'm not sure about what kind of circuit the inverter is using, I've never really examined the internals. The only thing between the inverter output is a large variac, and then the HV transformers - 4 series-paralleled ignition transformers.
