Senator McCain appeared in studio on the Jon Justice Show to discuss Tuesday's Republican Primary Election, Border Security, Immigration and Arizona jobs.
@Coolins335 Is that a joke? You actually think those cowards in D.C. are willing to lose the hispanic vote by putting troops on the border? Wake up...
As for ANOTHER TAX to pay for troops. Are you on drugs? The Metropolitan Council stole the road budget to pay for light rail (Union votes) and because of their DELIBERATE decision, a dozen people died in the 35W bridge collapse. You think more tax money will in the DoT budget will help anything? Please...
@Whitehorze, it is technically possible to totally secure the border with present day technology. Israel has used a combination of state of the art: camera's, fences, walls and ground senors to totally secure their border.
IDF units regularly ambush attempted infiltrators and innocent farmers, so it IS possible to do this, it's only a question of money and political will. Put the inevitable tax to pay for it to a vote and we'll see where the political will.
I think the first caller, who doesn't phrase the question very well at all, but made a good point. Senator McCain, you DID support amnesty previously, this has nothing to do with the "changing situation on the border". Apart from a car bomb the level of violence in Juarez and other parts of Mexico has been consistently bad for the last 6 years, during which time you DID co-sponsor amnesty legislation.
I think you should clarify why you supported it back then, if it was a mistake, say so.
McCain your an idiot. How are we supposed to secure our border when the golden carrot is hanging out there for everyone to see. Those people live hand to mouth. They have nothing but the clothes on their backs. You think they're just going to give up trying to sneak in?
You've been in Washington too long. It's time to for you to find other employment.
@Whitehorze, "@Coolins335 Is that a joke?", no it's not a joke, you said it wasn't possible, I said it was but depended on "money and political will"
You sound like you SHOULD be on drugs, maybe you'd be a nicer happier person to strangers on the internet.
