  • Thanks for the reply, I'm steadily becoming a bit better in drumming aswell as the double base part, though I find it hard to get a good video on how to develope some speed on the feet. I.E. Let's say something basic from Metallica (nothing too fancy) I just can't hold out that long, how do you keep up speed when you play double base? Is it technique? or stamina?

    Thanks for the reply,

  • Im not that good on double peddle, but it really helped me when i switched to the heal up technique, with the foot playing half way down the board. The more you practice your technique the better your stamina will get. Start slow with double peddle and builed speed up slowerly , if your feet arnt playing evenly its gona sound shit. Ill see if i can put a vid up of my feet so you can see how i do it if ya wamt?

  • Holy crap O_o? any logic to that? Please leave me a message if there's any logic, cause it looks sweet!

  • Sorry for not replying earleir, its all bassed on quads (2w feet 2w hands) mix it up a bit by doing your hands on different drums ie snare and first tom, with the odd bit off four with the hands split between the toms. 2 on 1st tom, 2 on floor tom. also try doing four with your feet but playing four on two cymbals at the same time, see laast bit of vid!

    Cheers Nathan

  • Nice vid, I've been trying to do fills like that for ages and it really helped :) cheers!

  • It would be great if you could put a simple video up on the web with a good description on how to practice it, and get better at it.

I'm pretty sure you're better on the double peddle then I am, so any tips/hints will do.

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    From the Netherlands.

  • Very Nice!
