The rich already pay majority of the taxes as shown through GDP charts. Raising taxes more will increase outsourcing to other countries with lower tax rates and will increase tax fraud. The best thing we can do is interview some people who make $250,000 and ask them how they will respond or act to the tax increases. A highly progressive tax system is too. You should read the 10 Planks of the Communist Manifesto published back in 1848.

Most People who make under $40,000 do not pay any federal income tax and most people get money back as well. As for other taxes paid some people already receive Earned Income Credit as with credit for dependents as well as Hope and Lifetime credits for schooling.

Suggesting that Obama is a socialist is a joke. Know what you're talking about. First, the 700 Billion dollar bailout is one of the most socialistic things that this country has ever seen, which was created by republicans. So us taxpayers can send money to the wealthy and big corperations in trouble but we cant have some of that wealth that we are directly responsible for? Bottom line is you can't have freedom AND equality at the same time. There has to be a middle ground.

Actually what he said was most people making 75,000 and under will recieve a tax cut. People making from 76,000 to around 200,000 will not have their taxes rasied, but they will stay the same. Anyone over 250,000 will recieve a little bit of a tax increase, but it will be no more than the tax increases the wealthy had under the Clinton Administration. As for your last statement...trickle down economics doesnt work. "Trickle up" economics has been shown to work. Dont be an idiot.
