I'm a "foodie," and thought that I'd have to give that up after weight loss surgery. I was wrong - I can simply use my creativity and adapt great food to WLS-friendly recipes. Just thought I'd share the three courses from a dinner I made for my friends recently. By the way, the third recipe (dessert), I adapted from the website blog, http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ - visit her site - she has wonderful recipes. I changed it up a bit, but not enough to take credit! :)

  • By the way, I posted the recipes to all the dishes on my blog (listed at end of my video). Well, I linked to Shelly/Eggface's pear recipe, as it is hers originally :)

  • These all look delicious.... thanks for sharing with us!

  • Thanks dahlin.

  • Yummy! I am a sci-fi fan too. Plan to cook even more - you've encouraged me. Love you on video!

  • Thanks, Lady Linda :)

  • I feel the same way about food. I love experimenting and trying differnet foods and spices. So much fun.

Loooove Trader Joe's! I love the Mini Pearl Grape Tomatoes too. Regular tomatoes are just too watery for me.

Great recipe! Saving it to my favorites. More cooking vids please. :)

  • thanks :) And I do intend to do more cooking vids, as soon as I fix that dang memory stick for my camera!

  • mmmm that corn salad looked tasty.

I'm wondering, how were you able to handle the 3 courses?

OMG can't stand it I want those recipes!!!!

  • I suppose you coul probably do the same recipe with apples if you prefer their tartness - might just need to cook a tad longer to soften them.

  • LOL - well if it makes you feel any better, Jenn, you can get all the ingredients from all the stuff at other places besides TJ's. I'm going to post the recipes to my blog this evening when I embed this video, and I'll post the blog address then.

  • That corn salad sounds sooo good. I love fresh basil. I want the main course recipe too, it looks yummy! OMG, that dessert looks wonderful.

Dang you and your Trader Joes... LOL!!! :)
